FLYING SAUCER
REPORTED APPEARANCE IN OAKLAND (Rec. 10.10) NEW YORK, June 21. A flying saucer roaring like thunder at over 1000 miles an hour was reported from Oakland, California, early today. Three control tower officers said the disc-shaped object dived five times over the Hamilton air force base. It approached at altitudes of between 2000 and 5000 feet, shooting blue flame. ' The men said they followed the disc’s course with binoculars. Corporal Roger Pryor commented: “At first I though it was a falling star, but it did not fall, it kept on going.”
