MISTAKES OF OTHER COUNTRIES BEING AVOIDED SYDNEY, May 10. The Australian Minister of Health (Sir Earle Page) told the Sydney University Medical Society that the Federal Government’s proposal national health scehme would be cheaper and better than those of England and New Zealand. The system of voluntary insurance would be less rigid than the Government-controlled scheme. Chaos in medical practice and in the whole health service had occurred in New Zealand and En'gland, where both Governments had attempted to take on too much too quickly. They had done this without preparation and without consulting the medical profession, he said.
