tr THE m a mmm I M G J° r dson For the Onhf yOU 1 jves w nt er 1 W in Su eke tro in 12.24 Whe e ' e MAJOR HALF TRACK CRAWLER EQUIPMENT that red/// carries weight/ Holcombe, Feilding. 27-1-50 pear Sirs, I am very pleased to be able to tell you of the very satisfactory experience I have had with my Fordson Major with Half Track Crawler'Equipment. r \s an agricultural contractor I previously owned aXK JXCrawler. I found that with the Major I could use all .tlie same implements and on pur country, more e/lcctivcly. I have done some very tough work apart from the ordinar.yTun of agricultural work including cleaning dams, making tracks with a Hydraulic Blade I had fitted, and pulling logs. Some of my experiences will interest you. a 3-14" furrow plough was pulled up steep grades without difficulty. with 8-a-side tandem discs at full'cut, covered 39 acres in 10J horns. Fuel used—2o gallons. mole drained with 21" plug at 16 to. 18 inches with mains down to 24 inches. • —pulled a 720 super foot log along the flat in second gear. Fuel consumption in relation to work done was most reasonable. Heavy work' took two gallons per hour. Mole draining 1-1 gallons per hour. Bulldozing 1 gallon per hour. Last season I used the tractor on rubber to pull my header and averaged § of a gallon per hour. Tlie tractor is very stable on steep country Loth going up and down and around sidlings. Maintenance costs have been negligible. Over 1400 hours work the only ne.w parts I have had to buy have been 1 exhaust valve and 1 fan belt. Yours faithfully, Zj .
