LINK WITH EARLY DAYS
MRS R. ROBBINS PASSES The recent death of Mrs Rose Robbins severed another link with the early days of Ashburton and district. A daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Leonard, Mrs Robbins was one of the first pair of twins born in the district. Mr Robbins followed farming in the Rakaia and Highbank districts, and retired to Ashburton some 30 years ago. There are four surviving children, nine grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren.
