RAID ON SHANGHAI
REPORTS TO VARIANCE (Rec. 11.15) HONG KONG, March 15. The Central News Agenqy reported that Kuomintang bombers raided Snanghai’s Lungha afffield on Tuesday, scoring hits on runways, control tower and other establishments. The Communist Peking radio, on the other hand, reported that the raid was on. Shanghai city itself. The radio said the Nationalists dropped more than 50 bombs, killing six civilians. The radio described the raid as “wanton” and “under the direction of American imperialists.”
