MARCH MEETING
The March meeting of Walcanui Red Cross Society was held in the hall. Mrs F. Butterick presided. The hospital visitors reported on visiting- and the purchase of gifts at Christmas time. Mrs Butterick read an impressive list of clothes handed in at the clothes drive. An appeal was made for edible fat, also for black or wfiite fleeces _ and anything of use in therapy work.' Mrs Butterick also reported on the delegates’ meeting, and was thanked by Mrs Leadley. It was decided to give £5 worth of food to the centre food drive. ( It was decided to hold the annual meeting on May 44. ! Mrs Hendrie was the hostess.
