Mr “John Dugdale, Minister of State for Colonial Affairs, in a statement on Malaya in the House of Commons today, -said thejie had been, more than 700 operations against' Malayan terrorists in the last three months. In these, 115 terrorists had been killed, 358 wounded, 644 captured and about 350 gave themselves up. Mr Dugdale said' that nearly 500,000 volunteers had been mobilised against the terrorists since February 26—the start of the "anti-bandit month.” Mr Dugdale feaid he did not think there was any connection between Britain’s recognition of the Chinese Commnnist Government and a rise m the nufftber of terrorist attacks in Malaya.—Reuter. .
