PRICE OF PETROL
APPLICATION FOR INCREASE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, March 10. An application for an increase in the price of fuel oil is awaiting hearing by the Price Tribunal. It was stated by Mr 11. L. Wise, of the Price Control Division, before the Price Tribunal yesterday, that a launch company, applying for an increase in fares, based its estimates of increased fuel costs on advice from an oil company that there would probably be an increase of 121 per cent, as a result of devaluation. Since the company prepared its case a few months ago. there has been an increase of a halfpenny a gallon, and another application for an increase Was pending.-
