TRAINING ARMY RECRUITS
RESERVISTS TO ENTER CAMP IN MAY (P.A.) WELLINGTON, March 13. Army recruits under the compulsory military training scheme will probably start to enter camp on May 9 it was announced by the Minister of Defence (Mr T. L. Macdonald) after a special meeting of Cabinet to-day. Entry dates for the Navy and Air Force, which concerned a very much smaller nuinber of trainees, would be announced later, said the Minister, and further details of the inauguration of the system would be given in statements from time to time. Cabinet gave long consideration to the whole question of the compulsory military training scheme, he said, and it was decided that the proposal for the first intake of trainees to enter various camps in May should be adhered to as' far as possible.
