MEXICAN FARM WORKERS

ADMISSION TO U.S. OPPOSED WASHINGTON, March 10. The National Farm Labour Union informed President Truman to-day that it estimated that 100,000 children of unemployed American farm workers were starving while owners of big farms continued, to import workers from Mexico. Mr H. L. Mitchell, president of the union, in a letter to Mr Truman, urged that immediate action be taken to remedy the situation and provide surplus food for needy farm families. Ho also urged Mr Truman to abrogate immediately the international agreement with Mexico which permits the importation of Mexicans for farm work.
