RETURN O’ TAM
DOG’S 1400 MILES Seven-year-old Sandra Ross, of Syracuse, New York, had a collie named Tam o’ Shanter. A year ago, when Sandra’s family were on holiday, Tam was lost at Fort Lauderdale, Florida—l4oo miles from home. There appeared a letter in a Syracuse newspaper from a woman who said she had found a collie in the street starving and lost. The Rosses went to look at the stray—and “Tamy” came to meet them with a limping run, /‘nearly turning himself inside-out with joy,” said Sandra. >
