MAYFIELD COUNTY GIRLS’ CLUB ANNUAL MEETING HELD The annual meeting of the Mayfield Country Girls’ Club was held in the Lodge Rooms recently. Miss R. Bennett presided over an attendance of nine. Arrangements were made for the entertainment of the visiting Waikato Y.P.C. Mrs Quinn (advisory membe>; for Eiffelton), ivho was accompanied by three Eiffelton C.G.C. members, took the chair for the election of officers, which resulted: President, Miss B. Bennett; vice-presi-dent, Miss B. Currie; secretary, Miss S. Murdoch; treasurer, Miss R. Taylor. Mr G. J. Murdoch, of Mayfield, gave a very interesting talk and demonstration on floral work. She showed the “new look” in flowers. Miss B. Bennett expressed thanks to Mrs Murdoch. A very enjoyable evening was brought to a close with supper, served by the hostess, Miss F. Gallagher.
