TO RESTORE ORDER
BRITISH REINFORCED IN ERITREA (Rec. 11 a.m.) ASMARA, Jari. 4. British reinforcements are arriving in Eritrea and a warship will soon be dispatched to Massawa, according to an official announcement. The police forces in the former Italian colony will be substantially strengthened. The chief administrator (Mr Grenville Drew) said that-the British Government was gravely concerned at the recent repeated acts, pf murder and violence in the territory and was determined to suppress them. The Asmara correspondent of the United Press says that sentences of three years’ imprisonment for the, illegal possession of firearms were passed on two men to-day by a.British-Mil-itary Court. One man was arrested outside the home of Mr Guido de Rossi, president of the Independent Italian Eritrean Association. ;
