MORE FOR AUSTRALIA (Rec. 11.0) CANBERRA, This Day. The Prime Minister, Mr J. 8.. Chifley, appealed to Australians to give accommodation, in their homes to 80,000 British migrants next year. Mr Chifley said that Australia had an immigration opportunity which it should with both hands.” He said he would announce details of the new plan in the next few weeks. “This year more than 60,000 British people haye begun new lives in Australia,” he adddd. “Next year we want to welcome at least 80,000 more.”
