FLESH OF “BRUMBIES”
EXPORT POSSIBILITY BRISBANE. Flesh of brumbies —descendants of domestic horses that have run wild—would be exported to Belgium, if approval could be obtained from the Australian Department of Commerce, Queensland United Graziers’ Association officials said recently. It was stated at a meeting of the association that thousands of brumbies, increasing in numbers, roam through the Gulf of Carpentaria area and the northern cattle country of Queensland. Many were slaughtered each year.'—Reuter.
