WOMEN’S DIVISION
SEAFIELD «F.F. BRANCH , \ Miss Hight gave an interesting account of her experiences during her recent stay at the Chatham Islands, at the monthly meeting of the Seafield Women’s Division of Federated Farmers. Mrs J: Watson expressed thanks to Miss Hight on behalf of all present. Sympathy was expressed with Mrs G. Moorhead in her bereavement.
Mrs H. Driscoll, who presided, gave the’report on the school of instruction held recently. Members were reminded of the coming events, the Garden Party at Te Kiteroa in March, and the Inter-Provincial conference in Ashburton the same month. A monetary donation was' made to the Leper appeal. Mrs A. Driscoll was elected secretary for the remainder of the year in place of Miss J. Mitchell who has resigned.
V Competitions resulted: Bowl of flowers: Miss S. Driscoll 1, Mrs J. Gregory 2, Miss J. Mitchell 3; vases of flowers: Miss J. Mitchell 1, Miss S. Driscoll 2, Mrs J. Gregory 3; photo child study: Mrs J. Watson 1, Mrs H. Driscoll 2, Miss S. Driscoll 3. Misses M. Robertson and S. Driscoll were hostesses.
