ATHENS, Oct. 24,

The guerillas had cost Greece £135,700,000 in material losses such as looting, burning and destruction of the country’s resources, said the Greek Minister of Economic Co-ordin-ation (Mr Etienne Stefanopoulos) today. He said; that these losses accounted for 85 per cent, of American aid. Archbishop Spiridonis, Primate of Greece, announced to-day that thousands of acres of land owned by the Greek Orthodox Church in the Peloponnesus and Greek islands would be given to guerilla-stricken refugees for resettlement.

He added that bishops, civilian officials, and priests would give part of their salaries, and all collections in churches during a major holiday would be given to a fund to help those affected.
