NEW ZEALAND WOMEN’S TOURNAMENT FIRST DAY’S PLAY (P.A.) DUNEDIN, August 24. Canterbury, last year’s winner of the New Zealand Cup, concluded the first day’s play in the Dominion women’s basketball tournament to-day with two wins, beating Hawke’s Bay 19-11 and Otago 24-18. To-day’s results were:
