PLANS FOR AMETHYST
TO SAIL FOR ENGLAND SHORTLY (Rec. 10.40 a.m.) LONDON; Aug. 22. The sloop Amethyst will sail from Hong Kong on September 9, and is expected to reach Plymouth on November 1, according to an Admiralty announcement to-day. The Amethyst’s complement will be that which was on board on April 20, less those wounded and already sent home. The ship’s company will be augmented if necessary from other ships. The Amethyst will call at Singapore, Malta and Gibraltar. —Reuter.-
