FINE BUT CLOUDY Following a little rain in the night, to-day in Ashburton has been fine, with a good deal of cloud, but sunshine predominating.. Except in sheltered positions, a slight but cool southerly breeze has made for moderate temperatures. OUTLOOK FAIR (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Government Meteorologist, at noon to-day, issued the following statement regarding the weather:— General situation: An anti-cyclone covers New Zealand. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru to 5 p.m. to-morrow is as follows:—-
Light to moderate variable winds and cloudy areas to-day about the coast, otherwise fair to fine, with frosts to-night and temperatures milder to-morrow. Further outlook: Fair.
