INDONESIA RULE
UNITED STATES PLAN V BATAVIA, April IG. Federalist leaders, after discussions extending over several weeks, to-day adopted the report of a committee defining. their status in the interim period for the formation of a United States of Indonesia.
The Federalists declared that they look forward to the formation of a sovereign, independent United States of Indonesia which will be linked in equal union with Holland. They recognised the equal rights of member States and confirmed the status of States already formed. The Federalists further recognised Dutch sovereignty in the interim period.
