CONFERENCE TO GE HELD IN * CANADA *

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, April 15. New Zealand will be represented at the International Federation of Agricultural Producers’ conference at Guelph, Canada, by a delegation from Federated Farmers of New Zealand, consisting of Mr R. G. Bucltleton and Mr J Andrew. The Minister of Agriculture (Mr E. L. Cullen) announced that at the specific request of Federated Farmers, Mr R. B. Tennent, As-sistant-Director-General of Agriculture, would accompany the delegation as official adviser. "After the conference the delegates will visit certain localities in the United States, where climatic and soil conditions are similar to those of the Dominion,” said Mr Cullen. “The Government has agreed to Mr Tennent accompanying the delegation, to promote interest in New Zealand pasture seeds in the United States.” While on this mission Mr Tennent will arrange for official trials of New Zealand seeds by various researen ana extension organisations, and it is hoped that as a result of the mission the export market for New Zealand seeds will be widened. .7.
