Burning rubbish and grass on an empty section at 103 Cox Street resulted in a call to the brigade at 3.30 p.m. on Saturday. , The blaze was quickly extinguished. A small fire in a macrocarpa fence and grass, near the corner of Cox and Victoria Streets, at 1.30 o’clock yesterday afternoon, was also put out by the brigade. Little damage was done.
