OBITUARY
DR. REGINALD W, STURT (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Jan. 12. Dr. Reginald W. Sturt, a missionary, lias died in North China, lie was nearly 70 years old. Born in New Zealand, Dr. Sturt was educated in this country and went to England for medical training in 100.5. After his graduation he went to China, where he devoted most, of the rest of his life to missionary work. —P.A.
MR FRANK J. OAKES (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Mr Frank J. Oakes, an outstanding figure in Wellington musical history and a noted solo cornet player, died yesterday, aged 80. His musical career dates from 1888 when he was a member of St. Joseph’s Church Choir, ITawera.
