Mr 0. R, Ensor, B.V.Sc., has commenced duties at the Department of Agriculture, Christchurch. Mr Ensor studied veterinary science at the Sydney University under the New Zealand rehabilitation scheme. He is a son-in-law of Mr J. McElhinney, Belt Road, Ashburton. _ _ According to advice received from the general manager of Dalgety and Company, Ltd., London, Lord Tweedsmuir, 0.8. E., has joined the board of managers of the company in London. Lord Tweedsmuir holds the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. In the Canadian Infantry. Corps, and) just prior to World War If, he was assistant-Dis-trict Commissioner in the Uganda Protectorate. His father, better known as John Buchan and a former Gover-nor-General of Canada, was the first baron.
