SECRET SOCIETIES
MOVEMENT BY GERMAN YOUTH (Rec. 10.30- a.m.) LONDON. Jan. 11. Mr E. Marples, Conservative M.P. for 'Wallasey (Cheshire), who lias just returned from a tour of Germany, including Berlin and the Russian zone, said in a speech: “It is disquieting in the extreme to find that German youths are banding together and starling small secret societies, which were such a conspicuous feature of the pre-Hitler regime.” They are small and ineffective but danger signs are there and can be disregarded only at our own peril. Speed in tackling the problem is essential.”
