DEFENCE OF CANAL
PANAMA TO CO-OPERATE WITH UNITED STATES PANAMA, Jan. 11. Panama is now ready to co-operate with the United States in the defence of the Panama Canal, said Senor David Saniudio, a Government member of the National Assembly, in the Chamber. He added that Panama was changing its policy because the people of Panama faced certain ambitions which tried to dominate the action and thought of the citizens of weak countries.
About a year ago American troops withdrew from their wartime bases in Panama because of Panama’s objections.
