OLD CEMETERY
Sir,—The public should view with deep concern the decision of the Borough Council to take steps' to secure ownership of the old cemetery. This would establish a precedent whereby any current council would squander away that which is the heritage of Succeeding generations for the purpose, perhaps, of gaining a little revenue. This property would be much safer under the trusteeship or the Crown. Ashburtonian. Justice: No good purpose would be served by publication of your letter. Differences in sentences can be accounted foi\by different circumstancessurrounding each and every case.
