AUSTRALIAN RACING EX-N.Z. PACERS SUCCEED AT PERTH PERTH, March 30. Imported pacers ended the recentrun. of successes of local performers in big events when they captured both of the main races of the West Australian Trotting Association’s Easter carnival. The Easter Cup of two miles, was fought out by two former New Zealanders in Sea Born, by Arion Axworthy-Fair Wave, with Indian Clipper second and Brown Sheik third. Sea Born, off 12 yards, paced at a 2.12 rate and led for the greater part of the journey. The Easter Handicap oh 13 furlongs was won by Lady Guess on 84 yards.She was bred in New South Wales and at the close of her racing career will be returned to New South Wales to he mated with the . American-bred Starwyn. Both races wore worth £2500. SYDNEY YEARLING SALES RECORD AGGREGATE PAYMENT SYDNEY, March 30. A record aggregate of more than£loo,ooo was paid for 154 lots at the Sydney yearlings sales which opened to-day, Top price of 4500 guineas was paid for a brown colt by Le Grand Due from Heiress. The colt is a brother to Bronya, a winner in New Zealand. Of the total offering of 108 yearlings, 28 realised 1000 guineas, or more. The average price for the sale was 623 guineas.

A prominent * Sydney owner paid 9200 guineas for three colts. Ho bought a brother to Valiant Crown for 3300 guineas, a Midstream-Gazza colt for 3300 guineas and a Midstream-Pas-sage colt for 2000 guineas. Ajax and Brueghal youngsters were in strong demand.
