THREE MEN CHARGED WITH FORGERY (P.A.) AUCKLAND, March 29. Three men Avere jointly charged before Mr L. G. H. Sinclair, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court to-day Avith stealing, on March 27, the sum of £47 12s 3d, belonging to the Auckland Racing j Club, and op the same date knowingly making a false totalisator ticket purporting to have been issued by the Auckland Racing Club, thereby committing forgery. The men charged Avere Neville Wolfe, aged 30, a clerk; John Proctor Savage, aged 27, a labourer; and Douglas Gordon, aged 45, a machine operator. They Avere remanded until April 5. Senior-Detective Aplin opposed bail. “These men,” he said, “Avere arrested late on Saturday afternoon.
