N.Z. DELEGATION FOR AUSTRALIA (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Proposals that will enable New r Zealand to play a greater part in aeronautical research will be made by the New Zealand delegation which will represent the Dominion at a meeting of the Commonwealth Advisory Research Council, to be held at Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney from April 1 to 16. Announcing this, the Minister of Scientific and Industrial Research, the Hon. T. H. McCombs, said that the delegation would consist of Professor T. D. J. Leech, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Auckland University College (leader); Group-Captain G. E. Watt, director of Technical Services of the R.N.Z.A.F. (deputy-leader); Squadron-Leader R. J. Gibbs, of _ the directorate of Technical Services, R.N.Z.A.F.; -Professor R. J. W. Rastrick, professor of mechanical engineering at Canterbury University College; and Mr E; F. Carpenter, chief aeronautical engineer to the Civil Aviation branch of the Air Department.
