PETROL PRICE
WHAT INCREASE MEANS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. , The imposition of a further penny per gallon in the price of petrol represents approximately, £400,000 yearly in additional cost to the consumer, the greatest proportion of which will be borne by the transport industry, and, in particular, by the commercial user, said Mr E. M. Bardsley, secretary of the Ancillary Transport Association. This additional cost, he added, would be absorbed by these users in the'first instance, but must eventually be reflected in increased consumer prices.
