PARALYSIS IN AUCKLAND
NO DECISION' ON SCHOOLS’ REOPENING (PA) AUCKLAND, March 2G. No decision had been made on the date for the reopening of schools m Auckland, said the Minister of Education (the Hon. T. H. McCombs) this evening. Mr McCombs was asked to make a statement, as some paients who lived in other districts but sent their children to boarding schools m Auckland believed that the schools would open after Easter. “The schools are cloeed and will be opened when the paralysis shows some sign of easing, said Ml McCombs. . Four more positive cases of infantile paralysis have been reported m the Auckland province m the last two days Two are in the central Auckland health district and two m the south Auckland health district Two suspected cases have also been admitted to hospital.
