USE OP MOTOR-CYCLES (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Motor-cycles acquired from stocks held by the War Assets Realisation Board are now being used by police / on patrol duties in various parts of New Zealand,' the Commissioner of Police (Mr J. Cummings) announced to-day. , Last October it was reported that the Auckland police intended to use motor-cycles instead of motor-cars wherever practicable in response to ‘a request for a 10 per cent, reduction in petrol consumption.
