VIRULENT CLASS WARFARE
Outlook for Asia BANGKOK, March 24. Marshal Phibun Songgram, Siam’s “strong man,” who led the coup d’etat last November, said to-day that he considered all Asia was heading toward “protracted and virulent class warfare.” The causes of the coming conflict were: (1) Poet-war developments. (2) Communist propaganda. (3) Communist infiltration into Asian freedom movements. (4) Widespread poverty and disruption resulting from the Second World War. . Marshal Phiburi discounted the possibility of armed conflict between the major Powers in the near future, but said he believed that the warfare of ideologies 'was menacing society.
