ASHBURTON EAST KINDERGARTEN
| COMMITTEE MEETING HELD The monthly meeting of the Ashburton East Kindergarten Local Committee was held recently, the convener, Mrs R. Leask, presiding over a good attendance. A satisfactory linancial statement, was received from the treasurer. The report of the director, Miss D. J. Love, showed that the kindergarten had opened on March 2, with the very satisfactory roll number of 60, and there had been a high average attendance to date. There was also a. satisfactory w r aiting list. The kindergarten equipment was in good order, and a large packing case had been donated for storing the children’s eleeping bags. Mothers’ Club meetings will begin during April, being held on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
