ASHBURTON CLUB ANNUAL MEETING HELD M essrs I. M. Hamilton and J. A. Lee paid tribute to the splendid work of the- retiring president (Mr 11. G. Corner) and Dr. J. Connor and Mr L M. Mcßae (retiring vice-presidents) at the well attended annual meeting of the Ashburton Golf Club held last night. On the motion of Mr C. A. Charles, a. vole, of thanks wasi passed to the retiring officers. A motion that, the subscription be increased by U L Is, to lake the place of file levy imposed during the last two seasons, was carried. The annual report, and balance sheet, was adopted. Opening day was fixed for Saturday March 2“,. when members will tie the guests of the president (Mr C. J. Bonningion) and Mrs Bennington. The following officers were elected: Patron. Mr W. P. Anderson; vicepresidents, Messrs I. M. Hamilton and J. Russell; club captain. Mr L. G, Algie; auditor, Mr W. Ravines; committee. Messrs L. W. Baxter. R. Brennan. 8. K. Carswell- J. A. Lee and A. Martin.
