MORE LIBERAL PAYMENTS DESIRED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A resolution recommending that because of the continuity of increased costs of administration and maintenance, the Minister should direct his department to review the system of payments to secondary school boards with a view to providing a more equitable and liberal basis for them was passed at a meeting of the Wellington College’s Board of Governors. The motion also requested the formulation of such a scheme in time to permit of its presentation to the Secondary Schools’ Association conference in Dunedin in August.
