New Officers Elected The annual meeting of the Methven Y.F.C. was held in the A. and P. Association’s rooms on Monday. The election of officers resulted ■ Chairman, Mr D. G. Gerard; vicechairman, Mr I. Mangin; secretary and treasurer, Mr B. E. Jessep; as-sistant-secretary and club reporter. Mr G. E. Cotterell; committee, officers and Messrs W. Symes, D. McKay and T. Callaghan. Senior delegates elected to represent the Y.F.C. were Messrs B. Richards and K. Callaghan respectively. Mr R. J. Low was elected advisory chairman. It was decided to increase the subscription to ss, the balance over 3s Gd to bo payable voluntarily. There was an attendance of 27. EIFFELTON TENNIS CLUB ANNUAL CHAMPIONSHIPS A meeting of ihe Eiffelton Tennis Club was held in the Eiffelton School last Thursday evening. Mr P. Sheehan presided over a fair attendance. After much discussion it was decided to hold the annual championships on April 3, to be open to members of the club only. Afternoon Party Held A very pleasant afternoon was held last Thursday for Miss Iris White in view of her approaching marriage. The Country Girls’ Club combined with the Eiffelton Drama Club in giving a pantry afternoon. Before asking Miss White to receive a basket of useful gifts, Mrs W. C. Kennedy spoke, of her high qualities and thanked her for her help in the Drama Club. On behalf of the Girls’ Club, Miss E. Lill presented the guest of honour with a recipe book, each member having previously written a. recipe. During the afternoon items were given by Misses S. Cocks, J. Johnstone and E. Dice.

Afternoon tea brought a very happy gathering to a close.
