LONDON WOOL SALES The Ashburton branch of the Bank of New Zealand has received the folloiving advice from the London office concerning the wool sales: “The sales have closed firm owing to increased competition from all branches of the trade, well supported by Russia, Rather poor selection generally. Limited offering new clip, good style New Zealand greasy, which sold readily, particularly hoggets. Current quotalions for wools of average condition: Halfbreds, s(i-sS’s, 32d to 37(1; 56’fs, 29d to 33d; 50-56’s, 2Sd to 32d. Crossbreds', 50’s, 22d to 25d; 48-50’s, 19M1 to 22|d; 46-48’s, 18ad to l!P.d.”
