AID FOR CHINA
SENATE COMMITTEE APPROVES BILL
(Rec. 11.0) WASHINGTON, Mar. 22. The Senate Foreign Relations Committee to-day approved unanimously a Bill providing 463,000,000 dollars aid to China, including, if China wishes, 100,000,000 for military purposes. The House Foreign Affairs Committee has already approved of the administration programme, but authorised 150,000,000 dollars military expenditure. ’ , The House to-day passed unanimously and sent to the Senate a Bill providing 55,000,000 dollars interim aid funds for France, Italy and Austria. The funds will be used pending the operation of the .European recovery programme.
