MILL BUILDINGS DESTROYED
FIRE AT WEST COAST CENTRE (P.A.) WESTPORT. March 20. Fire destroyed the Nelson Creel: Sawmilling Company’s mill 'buildings at Raliui, Buller Gorge,‘last night: By the time the outbreak was discovered it was- impossible, to do anything to save the mill, but employees, helped by women living at the Rahui siding, did splendid work with limited equipment in keeping the fire clear of- adjacent large stacks of timber. The mill produces almost 4000 superficial feet of timber daily, and employs 15 men. It is not known bow the fire started, nor what the loss or insurances are.
