ORDERED TO LEAVE AUSTRALIA

CHINESE WAR-TIME EVACUEES CANBERRA, March 21. The Federal Government has announced that 600 Chinese—the residue of 3000 Avar-time evacuees—must leave Australia by the end of the year. The Minister of Immigration (Mr A. A. Cahvell) said that even Chinese businesmen and nurses serAdng in hospitals had only temporary exemptions. Some Chinese, Avho had left, had been deported and those still in Australia had engaged in every form of passive resistance. The proprietors of Chinese food cafes in the capital cities bad been "given six months in Avhich to dispose of their interests. Of 200 Chinese in Sydney, 25 have married Australian girls.
