JAMMING BY MANY TRANSMITTERS

(Rec. 9.30 a.m.) MANILA. March 20. Mr Truman’s speech to Congress and other “Voice of America” broadcasts to Eastern Russia are being jammed by high-power transmitters. Russian-language programmes are being prepared in New York for rebroadcast over a powerful transmitter 24 miles north of Manila. Jamming occurrs while programmes are being relayed here from the United States.
