SUCCESSFUL PICNIC GREENSTREET OUTING In glorious weather the Greenstreet branch of the W.D.F.F. held a picnic in Mr E. K. Buttcrick’s riverbed. There were few children who' were unable to be there, and the large number of children and parents had a thorbughly enjoyable time with races of all types for all ages. Ice cream was given to all present, and a treasure hunt also aded to the entertainment. When the time- came to go home all voted it an excellent afternoon. * Enjoyable Function A very enjoyable function was held in the Greenstreet Hall to honour Mr and Mrs Les Banks who have recently been married. Mr E. K. Butterick presided over the proceedings and Mr N. Hunt presented the guests of honour with a dinner wagon on behalf of the local residents. Mr Banks suitably responded. Dancing was enjoyed to music by Mr R. Prattley.
MAYFIELD YOUNG FARMERS MONTHLY MEETING HELD
The monthly meeting of the Young Farmers Club was held iu the A. and I‘. Rooms on Tuesday. Mr D. Histen presided over an attendance of 16 members and one advisory member. It was decided 1o raise the subscription to 5a to augment the . district funds.
