PERSONAL
Miss 0. C. Grainger has commenced duty in the telephone exchange at the Ashburton Post Office. The Rev. D. M. Steedman (Moderator of the Ashburton Presbytery), accompanied by the Revs. J. Mathews (Mayfield) and R. Taylor (Hinds) and Mr L. Prebble (Mount Somers), will represent the Ashburton Presbytery at the special centennial synod of the Presbyterian Church of Otago and Southland, which will meet at Dunedin from March 18 to 23. The party will leave Ashburton to-day.
