Officers in charge of the two depots where arms and ammunition were obtained by persons impersonating the police, some time before Aung San’s assassination, have been relieved of their duties pending an inquiry, said a Burma Command Headquarters statement. v The statement added that any suggestion that the military authorities knew anything about the assassination is ‘completely unfounded.
