TO ENTER MONASTERY
FRENCH ADMIRAL’S DECISION & PARIS, June 27. Admiral d’Argenlieu, until recently French High Commissioner in Indochina, will enter a monastery as a Carmelite monk on August 10. Admiral d’Argenlieu was, before the war, a member of the Carmelite Order in Paris. He was called up as a reservist for naval service when the war began. He escaped to London after the fall of France disguised as a peasant.
