BAN ON SINGER
COURT SUPPORTS ROBESON NEW YORK, April 25. At Albany to-day, in the New York State Supreme Court, Justice Bookstein ordered the Albany Board of Education to show cause, by May 5, why it should not alloAV the singer Paul Robeson to give a recital in the high school hall on May 9. The order was issued on an application for an injunction to restrain the Board of Education from interfering with a scheduled concert. The action of the Albany Board of Education followed a refusal by the Mayor of Peoria, Illinois, to allow Robeson to hold a reception at Peoria Assembly Hall.
