FLOWER SHOW AT METHVEN

SUCCESSFUL INSTITUTE FUNCTION Under the auspices of the Methven Women’s Institute a successful flower show was held' in the Anglican Hall. There were good entries in most of the classes, and an attractive display of blooms was staged, to'be judged by Mesdames R. J. S. and W. K. Wilson. At the close an interesting talk on dahlia culture was given by Mr W. Is. Wilson. * At the business session it was decided to hold a garden party on March 25 at Mrs A. G. Candy’s residence. Vocal duets and .solos were also given during the afternoon by Mr and Mrs Lance Blyth (Christchurch), Miss Marie Mangin acting as accompanist.
